About Handprints Academy
At Handprints Academy we provide our students with opportunities for hands on learning. We believe the more a child explores the more they learn and develop a love of learning. Within our curriculum we strive to incorporate and teach children moral values, social, emotional and self-help skills throught daily activities.
Handprints Academy teaches “Life Skills” such as:
We are dedicated to providing environments and experiences that promote healthy physical, social, emotional and cognitive development for children of all ages.
We believe children’s early experiences should be planned based on the best available knowledge of how children learn and grow.
Learning requires active thinking and experimenting to find out how things work and to learn about the world we live in.
We primarily teach the hands-on active learning with real and like-real objects. The most important goal is to help the children become enthusiastic learners. This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts. Our goal is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive learners. We’re teaching them how to learn, not just now, but all through their lives. We’re allowing them to learn at their own pace and in the ways that are best for them. We’re giving them good habits and attitudes, particularly a positive sense of themselves, which will make a difference throughout their lives.
Our curriculum identifies goals in all areas of development:
Different themes will be introduced along with all the components of developmentally appropriate skills. The teachers will introduce, discuss and connect all processes of learning. Meanwhile the children will have the opportunity to practice these skills.
Do you have an Elementary child and need a Spring & Summer Camp Program?
We promote children’s creative work and display it at the child’s viewpoint.
The teacher’s job is to encourage the child and guide them to develop the necessary skills for each activity.
